Marcus Appleby
Meet Marcus, the head of Blazener's technical operations and project process development. With licenses in architecture and interior design, Marcus has over a decade of experience and knowledge in design and project management across diverse sectors with projects of various types and sizes.
Marcus's technical expertise is reinforced through his roles as an examination committee chairperson and committee member of the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ). His dedication to industry education is further highlighted by his previous role as a teaching faculty member at Colorado State University, where he instructed courses in Codes, Health, and Safety.
At Blazener, Marcus is passionate about leveraging technology and industry expertise to streamline project processes, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and speed from project initiation through permit issuance.
On Marcus’s bucket list is being the chef of a fine dining restaurant! You will almost always find Marcus with his sleeves rolled up… literally.
Marcus holds a Master of Interior Architecture and Product Design from Kansas State University.

Sydney Madison
Meet Sydney, the strategic planning and project administration lead at Blazener. With a certification of interior design, Sydney has overseen the design and management of award-winning commercial projects across multiple sectors. Her creative vision and comprehensive technical skills allow her to navigate each unique project with meticulous attention to detail.
Sydney is deeply passionate about furthering education and enhancing process management within the industry to better serve the community. Her expertise in operations and management ensures that every project is executed efficiently and to the highest standards.
Outside of her profession, Sydney enjoys hiking around the Colorado mountains, paddle boarding and yoga. Pottery remains her medium for an artistic escape.
Sydney holds a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from the College of Human Ecology at Kansas State University.

Scott Cummings
Meet Scott, the driving force behind Blazener's marketing and sales endeavors. With a rich background spanning real estate and construction, Scott brings a wealth of experience to the table, encompassing real estate law, building materials distribution, supply chain technology, and a diverse portfolio of projects including custom residential, condominiums, and commercial interiors.
Recently, Scott made the decision to sell Vesta Commercial Interiors to devote his full attention make Blazener the best way to obtain a permit in America! He believes that this diverse background uniquely positions Blazener to combine technology, organization, and quality in a manner often lacking in commercial interiors projects.
Scott enjoys time on the golf course and hopes to perform keyboards live in a band! He puts Louisiana Hot Sauce on everything!
Scott holds a Bachelor of Finance from University of Florida, a J.D. from Emory University and a MBA from University of Georgia.
